Here is a slideshow of some of the wildlife we have seen during our first week here in Tirimbina.

  1. I remember watching the leaf cutter ants in the jungle when we were there. We watched them carring leaves for 30 to 40 yards away. What the heck do they do with the leaves?? Watch out for those caterpillers. Some of the fuzzy ones will sting if you touch them!
    I do not remember seeing many or any snakes when we were there. We did see a few green basilisks (also known as the Jesus Christ lizard because of its ability to walk on water) They are very cool looking. I hope you are keeping a journal of all the wildlife you are seeing.
